Sension helps older adults stay active, supported and independent in their own home — quietly connecting everyday life, family and professional care. No cameras. No wearables.
“A missed phone call. A parent living alone. And the impossible choice between worrying constantly — or putting a camera in her home.”
Sension Lab began with that feeling. We believed there had to be a way to know a loved one is okay — without cameras, without asking them to wear anything, and without taking away the dignity of living in their own home. That belief is still what we build for.
A normal home — quietly supported.
Changes in movement, confidence and daily routine usually build slowly, over weeks and months. Prevention helps — but only while someone keeps participating. When a programme or a care visit ends, continuity is often lost. That gap is the real problem. Sension is designed to close it.
Three simple ideas guide everything we build.
Notice meaningful changes in everyday living — quietly and privately, without asking anyone to wear or operate a device.
Help the older adult and the people around them stay involved in active living and prevention — together, at their own pace.
Keep continuity as needs change — from prevention and daily life through to professional care when it becomes necessary.
Stay independent, dignified and in control at home.
Stay involved without constant checking or intrusion.
Get useful context and continuity — not more noise.
Help programmes continue into real, everyday home life.
